Private Sector Sources of Economic Data
The Australian economy can be measured by various methods and there are two main sources of information. Firstly government data and information and secondly private company e.g. lending/bank sector or specialist private company data.
Some private sector sources of economic data include:
- Dunn and Bradstreet – e.g. Australia a safe haven for business investment Australia is considered one of the world’s safest countries in which to invest, due to the relatively mild economic slowdown experienced as a result of the global credit crisis. Dun & Bradstreet’s Global Risk Indicator places Australia in the top four countries, with a ranking in line with Canada, Norway and Switzerland.
